Which methods of payment do you accept?

Our standard payment method is bank transfer, however we are also happy to accept payment by Visa, MasterCard or Paypal subject to a small surcharge to cover our extra cost incurred. For established customers we may be able to provide a monthly account facility, subject to credit referencing.

How to select the suitable power supply for your lighting fixture?

Constant voltage power supply is required for all of our low voltage lighting fixtures. We would like to suggest to select the power supply that is around 20% higher than the actual loading to achieve longer lifespan. For example, for a 10meter length 12W/m LED neon strip, the actual loading is approximate 120W in total, it would be better to select the 150W power supply.

The maximum permissible distance between the lighting fixture and power supply is dependent on light fixture loading (length) and conductor size. The distance should be shorter for longer length of fixture (higher loading) due to voltage drop issue, the cable size should be increased or fixture length should be decreased to allow longer distance.Please contact our sales department for further information.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We begin to process your order as soon as we get your payment. Usually, the sample order takes 3-5 days. Mass order takes 7-10 days. We usually ship by DHL or UPS, it takes about 3 days.

Can COB Led Strip Be Waterproof?

Yes, The COB Led Strip can be waterproof. Normally it can do Extruded Silicon waterproof and Put in tube waterproof which same as below pictures. For Extruded silicon it can be make 50M even 100M per reels. For put in tube type we suggest 5M per reel.

Do COB LED Strips need a LED aluminum profile for heat dissipations?

Yes, it will help the COB light strip to dissipate heat better and prolong the life of the COB light strip.

What is the difference between SMD and COB LED?

The main difference between SMD and COB Strip Lights is that the bulkier SMD chips are spaced out on a printed circuit board to form the LED Strip. Whereas the COB technology turns the entire length of Strip into one continuous LED. This allows the density of chips to be much greater creating uniform line of light.

In the example above you can see a cut section of standard LED strip light compared to a cut section of COB LED strip light. There are just 3 chips over a 50mm length compared to 24 COB chips. This shows how much the pixilation will reduce when using COB Strips compared to SMD.

Can you print my logo on the cob led strip?

Yes. In the case of small quantities, we can use our PCB printer to print the LOGO. In the case of large amounts, our PCB supplier will help to print the LOGO in advance.

Can you provide free samples? What is your MOQ?

Yes, we can provide free samples for your testing. But it would be best if you bore the shipping cost.

There is no MOQ for our regular models. If you want to make a new PCB design, MOQ is 1000 meters.

Yes, you can cut the strip light with a regular household scissor at any of the marked cut lines. These lines are designated on teh strip by the copper soldering point or an image of a scissor on Flex PCB.

What specific adhesive is used on your LED strips?

Non-waterproof IP20 and waterproof IP65 use the 3M 300LSE adhesive tape. Outdoor waterproof IP68 uses the 3M 5952VHB adhesive tape. We also offer conductive adhesive tape for different applications.

For heavier outdoor-rated strips, we recommend using the silicone-mounting brackets for a more long-term mount

If I connect the strip backward + to – and – to +, will that ruin the strip?

No. LEDs are diodes so they only let power through in one direction. Simply reverse the wires and the led strip will work fine.

Do your LED strips work with dimmer switches?

Yes. All of our LED strips are fully dimmable and can work with dimming switches. It is important to select a dimmer and power supply that are compatible together. We offer kinds of dimmers. Note: RGB LED strips are only dimmable with an RGB controller.d the led strip will work fine.

What’s the maximum run length of LED strip lights before voltage drop occurs?

DC12V Series: A maximum continuous string of lighting in series: 1 Reel 16.4ft (5m). Longer connections are possible in parallel with the correct power unit.

DC24V Series: A maximum continuous string of lighting in series: 1 Reel 32.8ft (10m).

What’s the maximum operating temperature of your LED strips?

The temperature will vary from strip to strip.led strips light are designed to be under powered at the component levels to keep the strip cooler than its maximum operating thresholds. We measure the strips’ temperature from 60 degrees F to 115 degrees F. We have designed the LED strips to be able to operate in a temperature range of -22°F (-30℃) and 158°F (70℃). When the LEDs ran its higher ambient temperature above 40℃, it is recommended to use a heat sink(led aluminum profile) to dissipate the heat away from the LED strip.

How much brightness is lost by using an aluminum profile with a frosted cover?

Frosted covers help diffuse the light and reduce ‘dot spots’ and may typically reduce the brightness up to 30%.

How to control addressable led strip lights?

To control an addressable led strip, you need a motherboard with a microcontroller. You will also need software that supports its specific programming language.

Right now, there are multiple options available in the market. The remarkable controllers are Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LittleBits, Nanode, Minnowboard MAX, and Sharks Cove.

With thousands of codes available on the internet, you can have millions of illuminating patterns of your programmable led strips. You can even have your customized lighting effect as well. To achieve optimal illumination, you’ll need an LED controller.

Can I use an addressable RGB led strip without a controller?

Of course, you can. Connecting your addressable according to the voltage recommended will work nicely.
But you don’t get the freedom to control the lighting pattern independently.
You have to enjoy the built-in lighting effects, and your LEDs will run absolutely fine.

No, you can’t. You must cut LED Neon Flex on the cut mark. You can see the cut markings “scissors or black line” through the LED neon tube transparent window. If you cut the LED Neon sign Flex anywhere other than the cut mark, you will damage the PCB, which will cause the segment of american lighting LED Neon Flex to fail.

We require to pack all neon signs comprehensively, and as a result breakages or faults are extremely rare, however sometimes accidents happen. Should your sign arrive broken please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Please take pictures of the damaged sign in the packaging, showing in detail the broken parts, and attach images to your email. If the box that the sign came is also damaged, please take photos of that too.

Before dispatch, all signs are tested to ensure their quality meets our standard and they are fit for purpose. How to cut the LED aluminum profile?

The LED aluminum profile is firm, and you cannot cut it with scissors like LED strips. You need to cut it with a saw. We recommend using a precision saw to cut the aluminum profile to the exact size.

Considerations Before Buying LED Aluminum Profiles

The inner width of led aluminum profiles
LED aluminum profiles were designed for a few types of led strips, such as 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, etc. After improvements, they became wider in internal dimensions, e.g., 20mm, 30mm, or even 100mm. But due to actual lighting projects, led aluminum profiles are now available in widths of 100mm and more. Always make sure that the inner base of the led aluminum profile is wider than the width of the led strip so that the led strip can be installed into the profile without any problems.

The depth of the LED aluminum profile has two effects on the installation and use of the led strip lighting.

1. The depth of the LED strip profile needs to match the depth of the mounting groove. Remember, the thickness of the mounting surface will limit the depth of the groove.

2. The depth of the aluminum profile determines the led strip pitch and the diffuser. This distance affects the uniform distribution of light. For the same LED strip, the deeper the profile, the more evenly the light will be distributed. The higher the LED density, the better the light distribution of the LED strip if the depth of the profile is constant.
The length of led aluminum profiles

There are typical lengths such as 1meter, 2meter, 2.5meter, and 3 meters in the market. Before choosing your profile length, you should clarify which shipping way you like to ship your led aluminum profile: air shipment or sea transportation. If you choose air shipment, you will better select the length within 3meter in case of extra shipping cost. But if you choose economical sea transportation, the length will be a free choice. You can ask your supplier to make any customized length available for container loading.

Of course, there are other different shapes, such as angle or round aluminum profiles, to match different needs of installation. Ask yourself where you want to install the led profile and what lighting effect you want to achieve. The more precise you know about the lighting project, the better you will make a choice.

Covers of led aluminum profile
The cover of the LED aluminum profile provides dust, moisture, and UV radiation protection for the LED strips inside the aluminum profile. The cover can also be used as a diffuser or lens for the LED strip. Covers can be transparent, frosted, or opal. Each type of cover produces a different illumination. Clear covers are transparent and allow light to pass through without less reducing brightness. A frosted cover is translucent and reduces the brightness slightly. However, its primary function is to achieve even light and avoid glare. A spotless illumination is achieved with the opal cover, and the LEDs are not visible. We have the above three colors of plastic cover available for customers to choose from.
The quality of the led aluminum profiles

The best aluminum alloy for making led aluminum profiles is 6063 T5. Besides this, the anodized layer of an aluminum profile should reach 8-13 micrometers, and the painted layer should reach 60-80 micrometers. The thicker layer, the better the corrosion resistance.
For the cover part, the thickness of covers we often make is 1.2mm for slim ones and 1.4mm for big size ones.

The LED Aluminum Profile Extrusion Process

Step #1: The Extrusion Die is Prepared and Moved to the Extrusion Press

First, a round-shaped die is machined from H13 steel. Or, if one is already available, it is pulled from a warehouse like the one you see here.Before extrusion, the die must be preheated to between 450-500 degrees celsius to help maximize its life and ensure even metal flow. Once the die has been preheated, it can be loaded into the extrusion press.

Step #2: An Aluminum Billet is Preheated Before Extrusion

Next, a solid, cylindrical block of aluminum alloy, called a billet, is cut from a longer log of alloy material. It is preheated in an oven, like this one, to between 400-500 degrees celsius. This makes it malleable enough for the extrusion process but not molten.

Step #3: The Billet is Transferred to the Extrusion Press

Once the billet has been preheated, it is transferred mechanically to the extrusion press. mBefore it is loaded onto the press, a lubricant (or release agent) is applied to it. The release agent is also applied to the extrusion ram, to prevent the billet and ram from sticking together.

Step #4: The Ram Pushes the Billet Material into the Container

Now, the malleable billet is loaded into the extrusion press, where the hydraulic ram applies up to 15,000 tons of pressure to it. As the ram applies pressure, the billet material is pushed into the container of the extrusion press. The material expands to fill the walls of the container.

Step #5: The Extruded Material Emerges Through the Die

As the alloy material fills the container, it is now being pressed up against the extrusion die. With continual pressure being applied to it, the aluminum material has nowhere to go except out through the opening(s) in the die. It emerges from the die’s opening in the shape of a fully-formed profile.

Step #6: Extrusions are Guided Along the Runout Table and Quenched

After emerging, the extrusion is gripped by a puller, like the one you see here, which guides it along the runout table at a speed that matches its exit from the press. As it moves along the runout table, the profile is “quenched,” or uniformly cooled by a water bath or by fans above the table.

Step #7: Extrusions are Sheared to Table Length

Once an extrusion reaches its full table length, it is sheared by a hot saw to separate it from the extrusion process. At every step of the process, temperature plays an important role. Although the extrusion was quenched after exiting the press, it has not yet fully cooled.

Step #8: Extrusions are Cooled to Room Temperature

After shearing, table-length extrusions are mechanically transferred from the runout table to a cooling table, like the one you see here. The profiles will remain there until they reach room temperature. Once they do, they will need to be stretched.

Step #9: Extrusions are Moved to the Stretcher and Stretched into Alignment

Some natural twisting has occurred in the profiles and this needs to be corrected. To correct this, they are moved to a stretcher. Each profile is mechanically gripped on both ends and pulled until it is fully straight and has been brought into specification.

Step #10: Extrusions are Moved to the Finish Saw and Cut to Length

With the table-length extrusions now straight and fully work-hardened, they are transferred to the saw table. Here, they are sawed to pre-specified lengths, generally between 8 and 21 feet long. At this point, the properties of the extrusions match the T4 temper. After sawing, they can be moved to an aging oven to be aged to the T5 or T6 temper.

Heat Treatment: Improving Mechanical Properties

Once extrusion is completed, profiles can be heat treated to enhance their properties. Then, after heat treatment, they can receive various surface finishes to enhance their appearance and corrosion protection. They can also undergo fabrication operations to bring them to their final dimensions

Aluminum profiles can undergo a number of different finishing operations. The two main reasons to consider these is that they can enhance the appearance of the aluminum and can also enhance its corrosion properties. But there are other benefits as well.
For example, the process of anodization thickens the metal’s naturally-occurring oxide layer, improving its corrosion resistance and also making the metal more resistant to wear, improving surface emissivity, and providing a porous surface that can accept different colored dyes. Other finishing processes such as painting, powder coating, sandblasting, and sublimation (to create a wood look), can be undergone as well. In addition, there are many fabrication options for extrusions.

Fabrication: Achieving Final Dimensions

Fabrication options allow you to achieve the final dimensions that you are looking for in your extrusions. Profiles can be punched, drilled, machined, cut, etc. to match your specifications. For example, the fins on extruded aluminum heatsinks can be cross machined to create a pin design, or screw holes can be drilled into a structural piece. Regardless of your requirements, there is a wide range of operations that can be performed on aluminum profiles to create the perfect fit for your project.

How To Install LED Aluminum Profile

Step 1: Mount the LED aluminum profile.

LED aluminum profiles are easy to install due to their lightweight. Depending on the shape and function of the LED aluminum profiles, they can be surface mounted, recessed or flush-mounted, corner mounted, or suspended. LED profiles are usually mounted using mounting brackets, screws, 3M double-sided tape or mounting adhesive, suspension cables, and fasteners.

You can mount the LED strip light channel directly on a wall, ceiling, or other surface using mounting brackets, 3M double-sided tape, or screws. Mounting brackets usually have pre-drilled holes. You can quickly fix them on the wall with screws. Then, the aluminum profile snaps into the mounting brackets.

Installing an LED strip light channel with 3M double-sided tape is as easy as peeling and sticking. This installation requires the preparation of the mounting surface and ensuring it is clean and dry. Use isopropyl alcohol as a cleaning solvent and use acetone instead for the oily substrate.

Since the LED profile is made of aluminum, it is also easy to penetrate with a screw so that the aluminum profile can be easily fixed to the mounting surface.

Recessed mount or flush mount aluminum profile

The aluminum profile is mounted behind a wall or other surface with the contoured opening flush with the surface. It would be best if you dug a recess in the mounting area to match the width and depth of the LED strip channel.

Are you worried about the recess opening being uneven or too wide? Don’t worry. LED aluminum channel tracks with lips (also known as wings or flanges) on both sides. When flush-mounted, they can overlap unpleasant recess edges or gaps.

Some LED aluminum profiles have two recesses in the side walls. Use the mounting clips to clamp onto the first or second recess to adjust the mounting height and the cooling distance between the LED profile and the recess base on the mounting surface.

Corner mount aluminum profile

The angle LED aluminum channel is used as an angle mounting substrate for LED strips, providing beam angles of 30°, 45°, and 60° concerning the mounting surface and creating ambiance in the corner areas of the room. Corner mounting is made easy by using mounting brackets, double-sided adhesive tape, etc.
For corner mounting, the LED aluminum channel makes good use of space unavailable to other luminaires. In addition, special attention needs to be paid to dark corners when designing lighting schemes. Corner-mounted LED profiles easily brighten up corners stylishly and elegantly. Where does the high thermal performance of corner-mounted LED profiles come from? Let’s take the example of the 45° beam angle LED profile. The corner-mounted profile has an internal base at a 45° angle to the two walls of the profile. The inner base and the two walls of the LED channel form a cavity which enhances the cooling of the LED strip and the cooling of the channel.

Step 3: Pair the LED aluminum channel with cover.

As the concrete wall is solid and non-transparent, the media mesh must install on outside of the wall.

1, Fixing the simple frame on the wall

Thanks to its lightweight and slim features, the support frame structure can be very simple.

On the facade of concrete wall, you can easily find positions to fix the frame.

One thing that needs to pay attention to is that the frame should not obstruct the window opening.

2, Every 3 or 4 meters long have the frame

The mesh screen has a big pixel pitch. And the data and power feeding for the led mesh panel can be a long distance.

So every single led panel can be made very long, taking P100mm mesh screen for example, the maximum panel is 12.8 meters length.

To keep this long and slim mesh screen very straight and make it able to withstand the winds, we suggest fixing the beam structure every 3 or 4 meters height.
